Land Berlin und ubitricity nehmen Laternenladepunkte für E-Autos in Betrieb

Die Umrüstung von bis zu 1.000 Straßenlaternen bringt einfach zugängliche Ladepunkte direkt zu den Anwohner*innen und vereinfacht so den Umstieg auf die Elektromobilität.

Berlin, 13. Juli 2022: ubitricity, Hersteller und Betreiber von Ladelösungen für Elektrofahrzeuge und 100%ige Tochtergesellschaft der Shell Gruppe, hat in enger Zusammenarbeit mit der Berliner Senatsverwaltung für Umwelt, Mobilität, Verbraucher- und Klimaschutz (SenUMVK) die ersten von insgesamt bis zu 1.000 neuen Laternenladepunkten in der Hauptstadt in Betrieb genommen. Die erfolgreiche Durchführung des ersten Ladevorgangs fand im Beisein der Berliner Staatssekretärin für Mobilität Dr. Meike Niedbal, Bezirksstadträtin Juliane Witt, ubitricity-CEO Daniel Kunkel und den Projektbeteiligten in der Oberfeldstraße im Bezirk Marzahn-Hellersdorf statt.

Mit den neuen Laternenladepunkte wird Berlin zu einer der deutschen Vorreiterstädte im Bereich des Laternenladens. Ladestationen an Straßenlaternen vereinen zahlreiche Vorteile für Fahrer*innen und Städte und stellen einen wichtigen Baustein im öffentlichen Lademix dar. Sie nutzen die bestehende Infrastruktur und können kostengünstig, flächendeckend und schnell ausgerollt werden. Gleichzeitig ermöglichen Laternenladepunkte Stadtbewohner*innen ohne privaten Stellplatz den alltagstauglichen Zugang zur Elektromobilität am Wohnort. Neben den neuen Ladepunkten in der Oberfeldstraße wird ubitricity in enger Partnerschaft mit Lügger Elektroanlagen, Stromnetz Berlin und SenUMVK weitere Laternenladepunkte in den Bezirken Marzahn-Hellersdorf und Steglitz-Zehlendorf installieren. Alle Laternenladepunkte werden von der Shell Energy Retail GmbH ausschließlich mit Strom aus erneuerbaren Energien beliefert.

E-Autofahrer*innen können an den Laternenladepunkten von ubitricity mit den gewohnten Tarifen ihres Mobility Service Providers (MSP), beispielsweise Shell Recharge, oder per Ad-hoc-Zugang mittels eines QR-Codes laden. Letzteres funktioniert dabei ohne Anmeldung oder laufende Mitgliedschaft. Für beide Varianten ist lediglich ein Standard-Ladekabel mit Typ 2-Stecker erforderlich. Der zum Einsatz kommende ubitricity-Laternenladepunkt „Heinz“, der gemeinsam mit Ebeee Bender Solutions entwickelt wurde, bietet mit einer Ladekapazität von 3,7 kW optimale Voraussetzungen für urbanes Laden entsprechend der gewohnten Parkzeiten.

Dr. Meike Niedbal, Staatssekretärin für Mobilität: „Die neuen Laternenladeeinrichtungen ergänzen neben dem weiteren Ausbau der klassischen Ladesäuleninfrastruktur das öffentliche Ladeinfrastrukturangebot Berlins, beispielsweise für das wohnortnahe Laden von Anwohnerinnen und Anwohnern. Im Rahmen des Forschungsvorhabens prüfen wir zudem, inwiefern sich die Nutzung der vorhandenen Straßenbeleuchtungsinfrastruktur zur flächendeckenden Versorgung mit Ladepunkten für Elektroautos im öffentlichen Raum eignet.
