ubitricity baut öffentliches Ladenetz in North Lincolnshire um 35 Ladepunkte aus

Die Stadtverwaltung von North Lincolnshire arbeitet mit ubitricity zusammen, um 35 öffentliche Laternenladepunkte für Elektrofahrzeuge in der Region zu errichten.

London & Scunthorpe, Großbritannien, 23. März 2023:  North Lincolnshire hat ubitricity, den Betreiber des größten öffentlichen Ladenetzes in Großbritannien, mit der Installation von 35 neuen Ladestationen beauftragt. ubitricity ist im Rahmen der Zusammenarbeit sowohl für die Errichtung als auch den Betrieb und die Wartung der neuen Laternenladepunkte zuständig. An den umgerüsteten Straßenlaternen können Fahrer*innen ihre E-Autos mit einer Ladeleistung von 5kW bequem während langer Standzeiten laden.

Um den Bedürfnissen der Anwohner*innen gerecht zu werden, können Vorschläge für die Standorte der neuen Ladestationen mittels eines digitalen Formulars eingereicht werden. Der Fokus liegt hierbei auf Gebieten, in denen viele Anwohner*innen keinen eigenen Stellplatz haben. Denn ein Mangel an öffentlichen Ladestationen für Elektrofahrzeuge in Wohnortnähe ist ein häufiges Hindernis für den Umstieg auf die E-Mobilität. Dies bestätigt eine vom britischen Verkehrsministerium im März 2022 veröffentlichte Studie.

Der Ausbau der öffentlichen Ladeinfrastruktur durch ubitricity trägt zur Erreichung des lokalen Umweltprogramms „A Greener Future“ bei, das die massive Verringerung des CO2-Ausstoßes vorsieht. Neben dem Ausbau der Fahrrad- und Fußgängerinfrastruktur, steht hierbei insbesondere die verstärkte Nutzung von Elektrofahrzeugen im Zentrum.
