Important Notice: Changes to the ubitricity
Charging Network in Richmond and Wandsworth


From March 1st 2024 there will be some important changes to our network in Richmond and Wandsworth.

Starting soon, a portion of the ubitricity charging network in Richmond and Wandsworth will transfer to the charge point operator “char.gy.” This transition will begin on March 1st 2024 and is expected to be completed by the end of July.

char.gy, will manage the operation and maintenance of the designated charging points previously under ubitricity’s management. We are working closely with the new charge point operator to ensure continued seamless access to charging facilities for EV drivers in Richmond and Wandsworth.

An electric vehicle is charging at an ubitricity-operated Shell Recharge lamppost bollard charge point, offering fair prices, tariffs and costs on a kWh basis.

ubitricity will still operate and maintain the 1000 charge points we began to install in Richmond and Wandsworth in 2023, you can find your nearest ubitricity charge point using Zap Map.

While this change may require some adjustment, rest assured that ubitricity remains dedicated to providing a convenient and reliable charging network across the UK. We value your continued support and understanding as we work to improve the EV charging experience for our EV community.

Who do I contact If I have issues using a charge point?

If the charge point is branded Shell Recharge or ubitricity please contact us at 0800 024 6279 or support@ubitricity.co.uk. Let us know the charge point ID and our customer service team will support you.

If the charge point is branded char.gy please use their customer service details as shown on the charge point.

Will this affect the rest of the ubitricity network?

This transition will only affect a select number of charge points in Richmond and Wandsworth. This will not affect the rest of the ubitricity network.
